About

I have been working with computers since the late 70's. My first computer was a Commodore 64 that I used to write BASIC programs and experiment. After High School I used an Apple Computer in my first job, and then graduated to a PC compatible with dual 5 1/4" floppy drives. I'll never forget the first computer I purchased with an internal hard drive (20 megabytes! My phone has more memory than that today!)

In the early 90s I started Computer Link NW and wrote an application called TowTrack which was marketed to the towing industry. Working with several local towing companies I also developed my first web pages and helped maintain the computer and networks for these companies. By the mid 90s I was ready to sell TowTrack and went to work for the local 911 center as their Computer Specialist, writing applications for dispatchers, doing data analysis, creating an internal web site and maintaining the 911 software.

In 2000 I went to work for Hitech Systems, Inc. as their Computer Aided Dispatch Technical Specialist. I worked closely with several 911 centers, did training, software upgrades, data analysis and worked on the company's public web site and support web application.

I currently work full time for Applied Motion Systems, Inc. as their Information Systems Manager. My responsibilities include maintaining a half-dozen servers and over forty workstations. I keep our mail server, anti-spam server, file server, web server, and ERP server running. I am also responsible the security system, phone system, network, and wirless access points. I develop applications, create spreadsheets, do data analysis, maintain our web site and internal wiki site, and try to keep up on the latest trends in technology.

My experience gives me a broad base for consulting, troubleshooting, maintaining, determining best practices, and keeping abreast of trends in the industry. I am willing to use my skills and experience to help you with your technology needs.
